Spence Logistics (“we”, “us”) runs a same day courier and freight service in the UK. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Who we are

What we collect and why
Quick estimate and full quote. When you ask for a price, we collect the collection and delivery locations you enter, the vehicle size you choose and, for a full quote, your delivery type, the collection date and time, and your email address. We use these to work out your price, to send you a quote and to plan the job if you book it. This is needed to take steps at your request before a contract, and to carry out a contract if you book.
Contact form and enquiries. If you send us a message, we collect your name, your phone number or email address, and the message itself. We use these to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry.
Phone, WhatsApp and email. If you contact us directly, we keep the details you give us so we can respond and keep a record of the job.
Remembered details on your device
The estimator can remember your locations, vehicle size and email address on the device you used, so you don't have to type them again. This is stored only in your browser on that device. We don't send it to our servers. You can delete it at any time with “Forget details” in the estimator, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Who we share it with
- Google Maps Platform. The address fields use Google Places Autocomplete, and route distances use the Google Distance Matrix service. The locations you enter are sent to Google to provide these features. Google's own privacy policy applies to that processing.
- Email delivery (Resend). Quote requests and contact messages are sent to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery service, which handles them on our behalf. We don't store submissions on the website.
- Drivers and operations. The collection and delivery details are shared with the driver assigned to your job.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job records for [retention period, for example six years for accounting and insurance], then delete them. Estimates that you don't book are deleted after [period, for example 90 days].
Cookies and analytics
This website doesn't set tracking cookies and doesn't use analytics. Your browser stores only the remembered details described above, and the map features may store their own technical data under Google's terms.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information, where we no longer need it;
- restrict or object to how we use it.
To make a request, email spencelogistics@outlook.com. We'll respond within one month. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
